Terms & Conditions – Car & Scooter Rentals
Rental Period
- Rental days are calculated on a 24-hour basis (e.g., 10:00 AM to 10:00 AM or similar).
Driver’s License Requirements
- The renter must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid driving license issued at least one (1) year prior.
- A valid Greek, European, UK (for E.U. countries), or International (for non-E.U. countries) driving license is required, written in Latin letters.
Vehicle Capacity
- All cars are suitable for 4 persons and scooters for 2 persons.
Car Collection Procedure
Upon collecting the car, all renters are required to:
- Present a valid driving license.
- Check the fuel level and return the car with the same amount of fuel as received; otherwise, the difference will be charged according to the current fuel price.
- Inspect the vehicle and take photos or videos of any existing damages to avoid charges for pre-existing issues. The renter must sign a condition form at collection/delivery.
- All existing damages or scratches will be noted in the Rental Agreement Contract.
- Review and sign the Rental Agreement, which details all included services and insurances, as well as any additional services/insurances requested and their relevant charges.
- Request further explanation or information about the car if needed.
Insurance
All vehicles are insured as follows:
Basic Insurance (included in the price):
- Third-party liability (excluding driver) for death and injury up to €1,000,000 per victim
- Material damages to third parties up to €1,000,000
- Personal injuries per casualty up to €1,000,000
- Terrorist acts
- Fire
- Legal cover
Full Cover Insurance with Excess €500 (€15/day):
- Total destruction of vehicle
- Excess limit: €500
- Total or partial theft
- Driver’s accident cover: €12,000
- In case of accident, the customer pays no more than €500
Full Cover Insurance with Excess €700 (€10/day):
- Total destruction of vehicle
- Excess limit: €700
- Total or partial theft
- Driver’s accident cover: €12,000
- In case of accident, the customer pays no more than €700
Not included in Basic or Full Accident Cover:
- Petrol
- Wheels, tyres & punctures
- Loss of keys (€180)
- Mirrors
- Lights
- Plastics
- Light damages
- Scratches
- Underbody parts
- Car cabin
Additional Driver
- No extra charge for each additional driver, provided they are included in the Rental Agreement Contract.
Unlimited Kilometers
- There is no mileage limit.
Traffic Fines
- The renter is responsible for payment of all traffic fines incurred during the rental period.
Cancellation Policy
- In case of cancellation, the 30% deposit is non-refundable.
- No refund is provided for early returns.
No-show Policy
- If the renter fails to collect the car at the agreed date and time, the reservation will be cancelled and Electra Rentals may charge the balance payment (prepayment) for the entire reservation.
Pet Policy
- Pets are not allowed.
Ferry Boat Policy
- It is not permitted to drive the car outside the island limits.
Rental Extension
- For rental extension, the renter must contact Electra Rentals to check availability.

Taxes
- 24% V.A.T. is included in the price.
