Loggos is a small, verdant gem embraced by the turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea. This picturesque village, surrounded by olive trees and pines, is located on the east coast of Paxos, between Gaios (4 km) and Lakka (3 km). The village has approximately 300 inhabitants.
The port of Loggos is small and cannot accommodate large vessels, yet it remains a highly sought-after destination. Many visitors anchor offshore and reach the village by tender. Along the waterfront, you will find numerous fish tavernas offering a taste of their renowned local cuisine. There are also several cafés and bars, which come alive in the evenings, allowing guests to enjoy the sea in a lively atmosphere.
During the day, visitors can rent a small boat to explore the surrounding beaches and caves, or join organized boat excursions to discover the island’s coastal sights. A visit to the Church of Zoodochos Pigi is highly recommended, where paintings from 1739 are still preserved. Also of interest is the old factory (olive mill and soap factory) of the Anemogiannis family, located right by the sea and the port.
For nature enthusiasts, there are many paths leading into the island’s lush interior, as well as to beaches with stunning views. It is also worth noting that Loggos is a cultural center of Paxos, hosting various music events and festivals each year, usually during August and September.
